Anne Frank House & Prinsengracht Canal History

  Almost every canal cruise will pass through the Prinsengracht, often slowing down at number 263: The Anne Frank Huis.

  ## The View from the Water
  The museum itself is often crowded with a long queue. From the boat, you see the modern museum entrance, but more importantly, you see the original 17th-century warehouse facade next to it. 
  
  ## The Westerkerk Tower
  Look up! The tall tower with the blue crown nearby is the Westerkerk. In her diary, Anne mentioned how the chiming of this clock tower was one of her only connections to the outside world and a comfort to her.

  ## Reflection
  Passing this spot on a quiet boat tour is often a poignant moment of reflection amidst the sightseeing.
